boreholes
As a family run business we have a great deal of experience of drilling boreholes for water supplies.
Follaton Water Services Ltd provide domestic supplies for new properties / barn conversions in areas where no mains water exists; for properties on spring and surface well supplies which are no longer providing adequate water; agricultural supplies for dairy farms, stock farms including sheep and pig farms, poultry units, nurseries ....... including irrigation systems, fisheries - to provide new ponds and for topping up of existing ponds and lakes.
A few more unusual supplies that we have provided include the water supply for the whole of Lundy Island, for a Monastery in East Devon and a Nursing home in Bideford !

We pride ourselves in supplying a full service which doesn't always include just the borehole but also the pumps, pressure vessels, etc depending what your requirement may be. With the rising cost of mains water, your own supply will become an increasing assett very quickly.
In fact with-in the first year of installation some of our water systems will have paid for themselves. In 2005 regulations changed regarding boreholes, you only require a licence to extract water if you are using in excess of 20m³ per day.

An average borehole will take 3 or 4 days to get to the stage where you can have water coming out of the ground, this includes the drilling, lining, and installation of a pump. Depending on how quickly the supply cleans up will depend on how soon the supply can be connected to your pipework.
